My goal for the Physical Education Program at Harborview is to provide a safe, fun, active environment for students to challenge themselves. I have been teaching with a program called SPARKS based out of San Diego which is an inclusive program aimed at teaching the students how to play together, how to be a good sport, and builds upon their physical fitness and ability levels. Additionally I am incorporating activities that are particular to Juneau in hopes to create lifelong interest in staying active, healthy and fit. A few of these activities include taking the classes ice skating, cross country skiing, sledding, hiking, etc. You can select the SPARKS website for more information about the program. http://www.sparkpe.org/
